An Entirely Independent Firm
The firm was originally founded by Peter Wardle, who was then joined by David Grindrod in the 1980s. David Grindrod has since guided the company through decades of surveying work throughout the Yorkshire area.
We have established a wide client base, which includes thousands of private clients, as well as banks, local authorities, housing associations, house builders and commercial organisations. Our independent status means that we are often recommended by solicitors, estate agents and financial advisers.
At Grindrod Chartered Surveyors we pride ourselves on carrying out comprehensive investigations and reports and offering our clients a prompt, personal and professional service.

David Grindrod qualified as Chartered Surveyor after graduating in Urban Land Economics in 1980 from Sheffield. He has been carrying out Building Survey and Valuation work throughout his career, becoming a Fellow of the RICS and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. As a result of gaining a post-graduate Diploma in Building Conservation he has extensive experience in surveying old and Listed buildings.

Will joined the firm in 2015 after working for a construction supply company. During his first two years, Will completed a Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation and became an RICS Registered Valuer. Since then, Will has gained considerable experience and developed an in-depth understanding of surveying valuing residential properties in Leeds and the surrounding areas.
